What is powering your e-commerce website? Is it being powered by the most popular tools in the industry?

Simply put, if you’re not using the dynamic duo of WordPress + WooCommerce, then the answer is “No”.

BuiltWith (a service which tracks tech stacks for websites across the Internet) reports that WooCommerce now powers 41% of all e-commerce websites on the Internet. This accounts for just shy of nearly 2 million websites in which online storeowners and merchants have put their trust in WooCommerce.

 

41% of all e-commerce sites are powered by WooCommerce and WordPress — over 1.9 million active stores. Add in the usage of additional e-commerce platforms powered by WordPress and the CMS’s own 18.6 million live sites (over 25% of the entire internet!), and, well… that’s a lot of sites.
